Thịt bò rửa sạch, cắt nhỏ vừa ăn. Đậu hũ rửa sạch, cắt thành những miếng vuông nhỏ.
Hành lá và ngò rí rửa sạch, cắt nhỏ. Miến ngâm mềm rồi vớt ra để ráo.
Cho thịt bò vào nồi, đổ ngập nước, thêm 2 muỗng canh hạt nêm đun sôi rồi đun nhỏ lửa trong 30-40 phút cho chín nhừ.
Đun nóng 100ml dầu ăn, cho đậu hũ vào chiên vàng đều các mặt rồi vớt ra để ráo dầu.
Cho miến và đậu hũ vào nồi thịt bò, thêm nước nếu thấy ít rồi đun sôi. Khi nước sôi trở lại thì cho 1/3 muỗng cà phê muối, 1 muỗng cà phê nước mắm, 1 muỗng cà phê bột ngọt vào, khuấy đều cho tan rồi tắt bếp.
Múc miến, thịt bò và đậu hũ ra tô, rắc thêm hành lá và ngò rí rồi thưởng thức.
